From whom do we have to take blessings?
The Principle of Energy and Blessings
In existence, there is one principle: those who have more energy give to others, and those who have less energy take from others. If you take blessings from those whose energy is more than you, you get their energy, and if you take blessings from those whose energy is lesser than you, your energy is transferred to them. Your energies, capabilities, goals, dreams, desires, lifestyle, physical life, and spiritual life depend upon the blessings you receive.
Human beings have taken birth on this earth to get blessings and grace from God and ultimately reach God. But he forgot that entirely, and deviated from that, and went in search of blessings from money, prestige, ego, selfishness, and so on. He is purchasing them in an open market. He became retorted, stupid, ignorant — not in a position to understand how one who is less than him can bless a higher one than him. You won’t be blessed even if you mortgage yourself.
The Disease of Desire
Man is suffering from a disease — desiring what he is not and what does not belong to him — and became happy with that disease, and made that a habit, addicted to that, making that life; changing the life into fate, fate into time, time into karma, karma into experience, experience into knowledge, knowledge into energy, energy into capacity, capacity into skill, skill into relation, relation into love, and named that love as sacrifice. By sacrificing to others and making others sacrifice to him, he became nothing to himself, nothing to others, and nothing to this nature and universe. He has to leave the illusion, which explodes the untruth and bad in him, and reaches God.
He has to take blessings from three sources.
Blessings From Yourself: Thrataka Meditation
Sit in front of a mirror, see your eyes — only eyes — in the mirror, and say, “Hi, I am the blessed one.” This is actually called Thrataka Meditation. If you do this meditation for 1-2 hours a day, whatever is untruth in you will be destroyed, and you — that is, what is true — alone will remain. No one can cheat you or use you. This world says, “Why are you always sitting in front of a mirror like a girl?” Don’t care about this world; reply that this world sat in front of the mirror and gave birth to illusion, while you sit in front of this mirror and become a god.
Blessings From Universal Nature
See the sky — the emptiness in the sky. Do not see the stars, the moon, or anything; just observe the emptiness in the sky, and then you will be blessed. Don’t go with the nature of earth that produces lust in you.
Blessings From the Master
Blessings from the Master are the ultimate blessings. What the Master blesses becomes our fate, and later we become that. The Master’s blessings become the universal law, and this entire natural world becomes one to make those blessings come into action.
What Is Bad, What Is Good?
Master, what is bad? What is the difference between good and bad?
The result of the explosion of illusion is bad. It is a game played by illusion and worldliness. Actually, the human being is given a seed of bad to get the knowledge of his weakness, self-mistakes, errors, and self-destructive path, in order to destroy them and lead his life as truthful, righteous, justifiable, honest, and with humanity. His weakness — that he has to live with freedom — gave the chance for the illusion to win over him, and bad went on increasing. It has no starting and no end. If you go for revenge on anyone, it indicates the bad in you. When you get this bad, don’t live as an animal in your body; live as a god in your body. Try to wake up your heart, then you get enlightened.
- Bad says let us fight, while good says let us excuse.
- Bad says either you or me, while good says you and me.
- Bad says either you should be there or I should be there, while good says you are unique and I am unique — our goal is the same, that is to reach God, so let us help each other on our journey.
How to Respond When Someone Harms You
Master, how should I react when someone is doing harm to me?
Generally one feels sad, sorrowful, and depressed when someone harms them, but these are the most valuable things given to an individual. You should not use such valuable things for those who insult you, scold you, or harm you. Just give a smile and say Aumaujaya. Show mercy on those who harm you, and be compassionate to them — they are suffering from a disease. Be careful of those who insult you in a very pleasing way; he is very dangerous.
We are given a vision, actions, words, and behavior to express our inner life — to state what’s going on inside — but not to express to others and insult them. So focus on these things inside and get enlightened.
This same call to look inward and rise above illusion is carried further in From Failure to Consciousness: The Evolution of Wisdom in 15 Points and in Thursday Satsang, 20-11-2014, both of which return to this Satsang’s central truth — that every blessing, rightly received, leads a soul back to God.
